'Tremendous Potential for Growth and Innovative Publishing' as Princeton Architectural Press Takes on New Owner
Chronicle Books owner The McEvoy Group LLC has acquired New York-based Princeton Architectural Press, a publisher of books on architecture, design and visual culture. The Press was previously owned by founder Kevin C. Lippert.
In early 2010, Lippert repurchased shares in the company that were then held by Springer Science + Media. "At this point," he says, "we began a search for a new partner. We didn't have to look far. The McEvoy Group was a natural fit for us, since one of its holdings, Chronicle Books, has been our U.S. distributor since 1995. We know already that The McEvoy Group is deeply committed to quality publishing in different markets and across multiple platforms. Furthermore, we share a belief in both the beauty and endurance of the printed book, as well as the exciting opportunities afforded by the digital world. Together, they offer tremendous potential for growth and innovative publishing in the near future."
