This week's mediaIDEAS onPoint chart shows the average number of minutes in the U.S. spent per day on the Web versus mobile apps (e.g. iOS, Android). This recent survey data from comScore, Alexa, and Flurry shows that a year ago consumers were spending more time on the Web, but, at some point early this year, started spending more time on mobile apps. In June 2011, an average consumer spent 81 minutes on apps compared to 74 minutes on surfing the Web. Wired magazine recently announced the death of the Web; is it?
