Press Release: Social E-reading Service Bookmate Signs Deals with ePubDirect, Ingram, Diversion Books, Head of Zeus, Legend Press and Casemate
20 January 2015 - Bookmate, the subscription based social e-reading service, has today announced the expansion of its English language ebook section following a surge of deals with leading ebook aggregator ePubDirect including the content of ProfileBooks, Ingram, Diversion Books, Head of Zeus, Legend Press and Casemate.
The service's English language selection now contains more than 200,000 titles. Authors included in Bookmate's new English language library include Anthony Burgess, Alan Bennett, Mary Beard and David Peace.
More than 100,000 titles will be added from Ingram alone, with the partnership also including Workman. Bookmate is one of the first subscription-based e-reading service to partner with ePubDirect outside the US. The partnership with ePubDirect also includes Profile/Serpents Tail, Rosetta Books and Icon Books.
Bookmate also partnered with HarperCollins last year. The deal saw the reading service add thousands of English language books by leading authors, including C.S. Lewis.
