The $250 Nook Tablet isn't a completely new product or a radical overhaul of the Nook Color. It's still a 7-inch tablet packing wi-fi and 16GB of storage. But in addition to making it thinner and lighter, they've crammed in a 1GHz dual-core processor as well. It uses the same 1024x600 display as the Nook Color and is rumored to be running a TI OMAP4 processor. It packs 1 gigabyte of RAM, weighs less than a pound, and has 11.5 hours of battery life.

According to Albert Greco of the Institute for Publishing Research (as reported by WSJ.com) sales of print titles will drop from $18 billion in 2008 to $13.9 billion in 2015, not including book clubs, book fairs and catalog mail orders. His projections show that e-book sales should increase to $3.6 billion by 2015 from $78 million in 2008.
According to a report from The Digital Reader, the retailer will release an updated Nook on November 7. Citing sources within Barnes & Noble, the blog said the company is planning a big launch on that date, though he had few details about what the new product might entail. One individual, who works in a Barnes & Noble store, told The Digital Reader that they have replaced a customer service counter with a huge Nook boutique.

Last week, DC Comics announced plans to release 100 graphic novels exclusively on the Amazon Kindle Fire. Now the other shoe has dropped. An email sent to Barnes & Noble stores yesterday instructs them to remove all of the 100 graphic novels listed from the shelves, including Watchmen, The Dark Knight Returns and Sandman among other strong sellers. You will still be able to order the books on the website and place special orders at stores, but only if they're delivered to your home—copies will not be allowed to enter Barnes & Noble premises.
