PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—North American Publishing Co. and Book Business and Publishing Executive magazines have announced their official call for nominations for the 2006 Publishing Executive Hall of Fame (formerly the PrintMedia Hall of Fame), the industry’s most prestigious award presented to individual publishing and production executives. Inductees join the ranks of leading executives in magazine, book and catalog publishing, as well as advertising production. PHILADELPHIA -- The Gold Ink Awards competition, an annual competition that recognizes superior quality in print production, has extended the deadline for entries to May 31. Now in its 19th year, the competition draws more than 1,500 entries across some 50 categories, such as B-to-B and consumer magazines, B-to-B and consumer catalogs, direct mail, book covers, annual reports, directories, and many more. The competition is open to all creators and producers of printed materials. Judging is conducted over the course of four days in early June, by a panel of judges from respected magazine and catalog publishers, as well as advertising and direct mail
