Coolerbooks.com, an e-bookstore based in England and owned by Interead, announced today that it has partnered with Google Books to make more than 1 million public domain books available for free download on e-readers. Coolerbooks.com becomes the first e-bookstore outside of the U.S. to team with Google Books.
"… Our partnership with Google allows us to offer more content than anyone else, as well as giving readers the freedom to have a look through e-books that they might be interested in," said Neil Jones, founder of Interead. "We're extremely proud to be the first e-bookstore outside the U.S. to partner with Google Books, and we hope that the collaboration will make the appeal and accessibility of ebooks broader than ever."
