Egmont to Launch U.S. Publishing Arm

Egmont UK Ltd., one of the largest children’s book publishers in the United Kingdom, announced that it will launch a publishing company in the United States in January 2008. Egmont USA (www.egmont-us.com) will produce a full line of children’s and young adult books. Douglas Pocock, currently group sales director of Egmont UK, will serve as executive vice president of the new company.
