An increasing number of printers also are committing to tangible benchmarks for reducing the use of fiber from endangered forests. “I think that continued progress to create scale for recycled and [certified] papers ... is a need area,” says Miller, who expects costs of recycled fiber to eventually dip below virgin. “Likewise, I think more printers will be looking at taking advantage of every opportunity area to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs.”
