Hachette, Bloomberg Businessweek to Launch E-Book/Magazine Partnership With Steve Jobs Retrospective
[PRESS RELEASE] Hachette Book Group today announced a new alliance with Bloomberg Businessweek to publish in ebook form select special projects from the magazine. This collaboration will launch with the ebook release "Steve Jobs 1955-2011 by Bloomberg Businessweek," which is drawn from Bloomberg Businessweek's October 10, 2011, issue capturing the complicated and remarkable life, work and achievements of Steve Jobs.
"Steve Jobs 1955-2011" gives readers an inside look at the boundary-breaking thinker and endlessly astute businessman, offering perspective from those who knew Jobs at different points throughout his life, and had very different feelings about him. From his birth and adoption by the Jobs family to his days in the California counterculture making games for Atari, from the peak of the insurgency against Microsoft to his forced exile from Apple, from Woody and Buzz to iTunes and the iPad, Steve Jobs 1955-2011 tells the story of a signature American life.
Pieces are written by Steve Jurvetson, Eric Schmidt, John Sculley, Sean Wilsey and William Gibson, as well as Bloomberg News and Bloomberg Businessweek reporters and editors Jim Aley, Brad Stone and Peter Burrows.
This unique digital project is an opportunity to bring Bloomberg Businessweek's celebrated Steve Jobs 1955-2011 issue to additional readers. The ebook will be available on a broad range of platforms and devices in the US and Canada and will be priced at $3.99. It includes an informative timeline, glossary, and over 60 photos that give insight into Jobs' life and times.
Bloomberg Businessweek and Hachette Book Group will look to create future ebooks that will illuminate key moments in the world of business.
