Beth Kephart is an amazingly prolific multi-genre publishing whose works include YA fiction, memoir, and even a biography of a river-–told from the river’s point of view!
Today she will join me as our inaugural guest on our new “Literally Speaking” video chat series to discuss her take on the ever-changing world of book publishing.
Kephart’s new YA novel, Dr. Radway's Sarsaparilla Resolvent, just published on Wednesday, is receiving rave reviews like this one from The Philadelphia Inquirer: “While many historical novels, especially those for younger readers, can come across as corny or costumey, this one rings true, its language seeming to have been composed during the era it describes.”
Her next book, Handling the Truth: on the Writing of Memoir, is scheduled for August 2013 publication. Kephart teaches creative non-fiction at the University of Pennsylvania.
