Children of Bellevue is a non-profit organization founded in 1949 to initiate, fund, and develop special programs and to act as an advocate for children and their families within Bellevue Hospital Center.
About Reach Out and Read National Center:
Children of Bellevue's Reach Out and Read is part of National Reach Out and Read (ROR), an evidence-based nonprofit organization that promotes early literacy and school readiness in pediatric exam rooms nationwide by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud. ROR is offered in all 50 states, Washington DC, and on U.S. Military bases overseas.
