Editor's Note: Looking for Jobs, Tips, Vendors? We Got ’Em
Each year, we conduct an annual reader survey to find out what you think of Book Business magazine and whether it's providing valuable information to help you in your publishing career. In that survey, we ask what resources we can provide you with via our Web site, BookBusinessMag.com. I am always surprised to read responses such as "job listings" or "news updates" or "a directory of solutions and software serving the industry"—because these are things we already offer online.
So, I wanted to announce two important things: First, if you're one of our frequent visitors to BookBusinessMag.com, you may have noticed some changes to the site. We relaunched the site in February and introduced some new features that now can serve as additional valuable resources for you. Second, I thought it pertinent to point out some of the helpful resources that were already (and still are) part of the site for those of you who may find them useful, but hadn't come across them as of yet.
In addition to exclusive news and aggregated stories about what's happening in the book publishing industry, you'll find collections of useful articles—profiles of successful publishing companies, interviews with industry thought leaders, and even a collection of "Tips and Tools" (Book Business' signature how-to stories packed with tips on a variety of topics).
Our columns are now listed all in one place, too, so Andrew Brenneman and David Hetherington fans can have quick and easy access to all of their columns, and fans of our ever-popular Guest Columns can review the current and previous Guest Columns there, too.
You'll also find videos of recent book-industry related news, as well as videos the editors want to share with you as examples of how other publishers are using videos in the business.
