Michael Connelly Surpasses 1 Million Kindle Books Sold
Best-selling and award-winning author Michael Connelly—who has penned 23 novels, including "The Lincoln Lawyer" and "The Fifth Witness"—joins an elite group being called by Amazon the "Kindle Million Club." The club consists of authors who have sold more than 1 million Kindle books in the Kindle Store, and Connelly has just become the seventh author to become a "member."
Connelly joins Stieg Larsson, James Patterson, Nora Roberts, Charlaine Harris, Lee Child and Suzanne Collins in the club.
"We congratulate Michael Connelly on reaching this milestone and are happy to welcome him to the Kindle Million Club," said Russ Grandinetti, vice president of Kindle Content, in a press release announcing the news. "With the recent movie adaptation of Connelly's 'The Lincoln Lawyer' and the publication of 'The Fifth Witness,' it's no surprise to see him join the ranks of other writers of popular series in the Million Club."
"As a storyteller it brings me particular fulfillment to know so many readers are receiving my work through the Kindle," commented Michael Connelly. "Added to that, my name is now on a list of an amazing group of writers. I am very proud of this moment."
