Open Road Adds Two More Industry Vets to Its Team With Nita Taublib, Strategic Advisor for Romance, and Marjorie Braman, Consulting Editorial Director
(New York, NY – February 6) Open Road Integrated Media (www.openroadmedia.com), a digital publisher and multimedia content company, announced today that it is continuing to add experienced and highly respected publishing executives and editors to its team. Nita Taublib, former executive Vice President, Publisher, and Editor in Chief of Bantam Dell, will serve as Strategic Advisor for Romance, spearheading Open Road's acquisition and publishing of backlist romance titles for its Author Brand Program. Nita is the latest addition to Open Road’s growing acquisitions and editorial team which includes the recently announced Betsy Mitchell, Strategic Advisor for Science Fiction and Fantasy.
In addition, Marjorie Braman, former V.P. & Editor in Chief of Henry Holt, joins Open Road as Consulting Editorial Director focusing on E-riginals and select backlist genres for the Author Brand Program. She will continue to separately run her literary consulting business providing editorial services to a wide range of authors. Marjorie previously edited two Open Road E-riginals.

Until June 2010, Taublib was the Executive Vice President, Publisher, and Editor in Chief of Bantam Dell. Taublib spent nearly three decades at Bantam, in roles as Executive Vice President, Deputy Publisher, and Consulting Editor. Prior to joining Bantam, Taublib worked at WH Smith Publishing and Harcourt Brace Jovanovich. Over the course of her career, Taublib has worked with a remarkable list of authors that includes Danielle Steel, Nora Roberts, Tami Hoag, Lisa Gardner, Pat Conroy, Lee Child, George R.R. Martin, and Dean Koontz.
