(Press Release) New York, October 5, 2010—Open Road Integrated Media, a digital content company that publishes and markets ebooks by creating connections between authors and their audiences, announced today from the Frankfurt Book Fair the expansion of its E-riginals publishing program with ebooks from bestselling, award-winning, and debut authors. Open Road will digitally publish new titles from Jonathon King, Mary Glickman, Alan Dean Foster, and Jo Piazza as electronic book editions, with physical editions available subsequently through online retailers. This announcement follows the September 7 publication of Open Road’s first E-Riginal, Mitchell B. Reiss’s NEGOTIATING WITH EVIL.
Open Road’s launch season of titles will include:
-Jonathon King’s MIDNIGHT GUARDIANS is the sixth book in his Edgar Award– winning Max Freeman mystery series and the first to debut as an ebook. In this latest mystery, Max is hired to investigate a conspiracy involving fake claims to Medicare, but he quickly realizes the scheme is much more dangerous than anyone assumed. MIDNIGHT GUARDIANS goes on sale October 14, 2010. In conjunction, Open Road will release the first five Freeman mysteries and two standalone novels by King as ebooks, and subsequently as trade paperbacks. (Literary agent: Philip Spitzer, Philip G. -HOME IN THE MORNING is Mary Glickman’s first novel, an unconventional love story set at the cusp of the civil rights movement.
