Press Release: Rodale Inc. Names Gail Gonzales VP Associate Publisher, Trade Books
NEW YORK, NY-May 18 2015-Rodale Inc., the world's leading healthy lifestyle media company, announced today that Gail Gonzales has been named VP Associate Publisher, Trade Books effective June 15. In this position Gonzales will work to develop Rodale's publishing program, as well as new products and initiatives with current and perspective authors and brands; cultivate synergy with Rodale magazines, integrated marketing team, and direct-to-consumer books group; and work closely with Macmillan. Reporting to Gonzales will be the Sales and Marketing departments. Gonzales will report to Rodale Books SVP Publisher Mary Ann Naples.

Most recently, Gonzales was Director of Integrated Marketing at Simon & Schuster, where she worked across the company on various initiatives, including the creation and launch of SimonSays, S&S's online learning courses; producing on-air broadcast and streamed audio and video programming; launching thematic large-scale non-bookstore author events, and web-based live events; creating new opportunities for branding and alternative revenue streams; cultivating outside partnerships with parent company CBS and other entities to create unique programs that amplified multimedia marketing. Gonzales worked with authors and titles such as: Cary Elwes "As You Wish," Bethenny Frankel "I Suck At Relationships So You Don't Have To," David Agus MD "End of Illness" and "Short Guide To A Long Life," Eben Alexander "Proof of Heaven," Rachael Ray "Week In A Day," among others. Prior to S&S, Gonzales was Marketing and Publicity Director at Hay House where she oversaw 15 web properties (ecommerce, content, author, blogger, and content verticals), email campaigns, and programming of unique online assets-Hay House Radio, live online events, and live streaming of large-scale conferences. She developed and managed Loyalty VIP and affiliate program, live events, cruises and book launches for over 200 titles per year. While at Hay House, Gonzales also launched the self-publishing division, Balboa Press, with Author Solutions; developed the Hay House Booknook blogger program; and launched social media platforms for author brands and publishing brands. While at Hay House, Gonzales worked with such bestselling authors as Wayne Dyer, Kris, Carr, Louise Hay, Leeza Gibbons, Kris Carr, among many others.
