Rowman & Littlefield Announces Agreement to Publish the Portsmouth Review
Lanham, MD and Portsmouth RI, March 16, 2013—Rowman & Littlefield Publishers today announced an agreement with the Portsmouth Institute (www.portsmouthinstitute.org) at the Portsmouth Abbey School (www.portsmouthabbey.org) to publish its periodical, the Portsmouth Review. The first two titles in this new publishing program, Newman and the Intellectual Tradition and The Catholic Shakespeare? will be published tomorrow in cloth editions and also available in ebook format. Subsequent titles in the series to be published later this year and in 2014 include The Catholic William F. Buckley Jr., Modern Science/ Ancient Faith and Catholicism and the American Experience.
The titles will be published under R&L’s Sheed & Ward imprint, the most venerable Catholic imprint in all of publishing.
In making the announcement Rowman & Littlefield CEO Jed Lyons said, “It is a privilege to be associated with an institution as distinguished as the Portsmouth Institute at Portsmouth Abbey, and we look forward to bringing its wealth of high quality academic and spiritual content to a global audience in the years ahead through our Sheed & Ward imprint.”
