SAE International and ASM International Partner to Sell E-books
(Press Release) WARRENDALE, Pa., Sept. 21, PRNewswire-USNewswire—SAE International (SAE) and ASM International (ASM) have agreed to a strategic partnership that will enable SAE to sell electronic versions of selected ASM books both in their entirety and as individual chapters.
The agreement begins with 29 titles, with the intent to add more e-books in the future. A sampling of the initial titles includes:
• Understanding How Components Fail, 2nd Ed.
• Corrosion: Understanding the Basics
• Titanium: A Technical Guide, 2nd Ed.
• Introduction to Aluminum Alloys and Tempers
• Heat Treatment of Gears: A Practical Guide for Engineers
• Superalloys: A Technical Guide, 2nd Ed.
• Aluminum-Silicon Casting Alloys: Atlas of Microfractographs
• Fatigue and Durability of Structural Materials

This includes the resale of premium content from sources such as commercial publishers, think tanks and research-driven corporations, co-publishing opportunities, recruiting new authors with expertise in cutting-edge technologies, and acquiring exclusive magazine and newsletter content.
