I believe that this scandal should encourage publishers to continue to search for quality self-published works that they can pick up. Though this scandal will definitely not be the end of self-publishing, I think it does highlight the flaws it has, and as a consequence, it demonstrates that traditional publishing still has its advantages. This is a chance for publishers to promote themselves as authorities in finding and providing good-quality content for readers.
