A feature-rich architecture gives book and journal publishers a single point for order entry, significantly streamlining the process of ordering and managing a range of print products - from “one-off” print-on-demand to print runs in the thousands in both perfect and case-bound finishing. Central Product Management
Sheridan Select’s secure print management dashboard lets the publisher upload files, order initial print and reprints, track orders and review order history. The publisher has the power to choose whether a book or journal order is produced on toner, inkjet, or offset equipment. Orders can be channeled to multiple print locations simultaneously as well as to multiple output devices.
Automated Order Fulfillment
Sheridan Select’s powerful Automated Order Fulfillment function integrates print ordering systems with print fulfillment systems. Orders are generated by directly accessing publisher XML data, publisher inventory control, or subscriber services systems. Sheridan Select is also fully integrated with Sheridan’s existing subscriber, fulfillment, and warehousing software systems. This integration creates a particularly effective eCommerce solution for online-only titles and custom collections.
Global Production & Delivery
Importantly, the system is fully integrated with Sheridan’s global distribute and print offering, Content Delivery Alliance (CDA), giving further agility and economy to publishers who distribute content worldwide. This function channels print orders to global production sites based on publisher established business rules. Distribution data is read and filtered according to ISO world-region global print standards. Sheridan Select even handles split shipments – domestic and global.
