Trade E-book Sales Record 254% Jump in October

Trade e-book sales statistics for October in the U.S. amounted to a 254.3-percent increase over October 2008, according to data from the Association of American Publishers (AAP) and the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF).

Trade e-book sales totaled $18,500,000 for October, which marks the highest sales number for a month ever. Year-to-date sales are now up 180.7 percent.

These numbers do not include data from library, educational or professional electronic sales.
