Press Release: Trajectory Announces Major Agreements With Dangdang– a Leading Chinese Online Bookseller – Learner, Futa-Fata, Boom! Studios
Trajectory will providing Dangdang with book discovery tools and datasets such as translated keywords from the content of the book itself
According to Jim Bryant, CEO of Trajectory, "The Chinese language word cloud that we are presenting Dangdang to use will enable potential book buyers to visualize the storyline in a compelling new way. "
Dangdang will also receive the Trajectory Index. The Trajectory Index allows potential readers to assess the books complexity level as determined by Trajectory's Natural Language Processing algorithms. Jim Bryant states "Allowing foreign language readers to understand the reading level of a book will help drive more informed decisions. Highlighting the English language words that appear in each book that are used in English language proficiency exams such as TOEFL and IELTS will provide an incentive for readers to select a book."
Trajectory will also be presenting its contextual based recommendations for each book. According to Jim Bryant, "Recommendations based on the actual content of the story are essential for finding related stories especially in crowded domestic book stores and certainly in new foreign stores where the understanding of new collections is evolving."
