Based on Disney Pixar’s action-adventure film Brave, Brave Storybook Deluxe provides art, animation and special features, such as “follow along,” “read and explore” and “record your own voice” as users follow the movie’s storyline. “Our aim was to retell this inspiring story in a variety of formats so that kids of all ages can enjoy it long after they watch the film,” Disney explained in a news release.
Users aged five and up can tap-and-play surprises throughout the saga while they follow Merida through her voyage to “defy an age-old tradition and forge her own destiny.” Interactive games include hunting for hidden arrows, playing a Medieval-style archery game through the woods with pop-up targets and scavenger hunts.

Comic book fans can now digitally retrieve more than 1,000 pages of their favorite comics with the DC Nation app. Based on the Saturday morning programming block from Cartoon Network (CN), the app offers comics, along with free “secret files,” on DC Comics’ characters, monthly mini-magazines featuring DC Comic world news, the CN program block and first issues of “Batman Adventures,” “Superman Adventures” and “Tiny Titans.” Updated weekly, the app adds new titles to the collection, including “Young Justice,” “Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade” and “Teen Titans,” to name a few.
In May, DC Entertainment released DC Nation Super Spectacular, a $4.99 magazine with comics based on popular DC Nation shows such as Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series. Sponsored by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s new game, LEGO Batman 2, the magazine will contain an exclusive code for the game.
