Zondervan Updates YouTube Channel with Free Bible Study Videos and Audio First Chapters
Grand Rapids, Mich, May 11, 2012—Zondervan has announced a new YouTube channel where readers have access to almost 100 video-based Bible study sessions from Christian thought leaders including New York Times best-selling authors Tim Keller and Lysa TerKeurst. In addition, users will also be able to browse more than 150 audio book first chapters and share these via media sites including Facebook and Twitter. Zondervan is one of the first publishers to offer sample audio of books through YouTube, and eventually will offer the first chapter of their complete library of over 1100 audio books.
“People are watching millions of videos through YouTube each month on their mobile devices,” says John Raymond VP and Publisher at Zondervan. “This is a way they can gain access to relatively short, spiritually rich content from Christian teachers—like John Ortberg, Tim Keller, Andy Stanley, and Bill Hybels—not just at home, but anywhere they go.”
The Bible study videos available for free video streaming through YouTube are a sampling from a larger library of copyrighted videos. Many titles in the collection are now available for sale for less than three dollars per session through Christianbook.com. Offered in partnership with Zondervan and Christian Book Distributors (CBD), this new product line meets the growing demand for affordable video-based downloads from Christian teachers lending expertise on a wide range of topics, including the relevancy of the Bible to everyday life, prayer, marriage, personal faith, and more.
“We are proud to be able to offer these Bible study videos and samples of so many of our popular audio books, a growing product line for us,” said Steve Sammons, Executive Vice President for Consumer Engagement. “We value the ability to make these resources easily accessible to help Christians gain inspiration and insight from Zondervan authors.”
