King Printing Boosts Its Productivity with HP Inkjet Web Press Upgrade

King Printing has become the first North American book manufacturer to install a new HP T350 Color Inkjet Web Press speed upgrade.

The high reliability, productivity and quality that the short-run book manufacturing specialist based in Lowell, MA, gained with its HP T300 Color Inkjet Web Press led to the upgrade decision. Now, King Printing’s HP T350 Inkjet Web Press is 50 percent faster than its previousl, running at 600 fpm and producing up to 3,927 ppm (letter-size).

Tablet fever cools as e-readers heat up

The American passion for tablets is declining just as e-reader growth is accelerating.
Between January and May of this year, tablet ownership in the US grew from 7 to 8 per cent of the population, according to a new report by the Pew Internet & American Life Project. Previously Pew reports, tablet sales had been climbing relatively quickly.

HP Introduces New Digital Press

At an event last week in Los Angeles, HP unveiled a new commercial digital color press, the 42-inch high-speed HP T400 Color Inkjet Web Press. The unveiling took place at O'Neil Data Systems in front of press, publishers and other guests from all over the world. O'Neil, a data-driven marketing communications firm, is the first company to install the HP T400 press.
