Skyhorse Publishing is proud to announce the launch of Carrel Books, a new imprint featuring titles for the public library market. The Carrel list will include categories of most interest to libraries, including medicine/health, history, biography/memoir, business/careers, and more.  Carrel will launch in fall 2014 with an initial list of 20-30 titles. Carrel titles will be available to libraries in both print and ebook editions.

Night Shade Books has published some of the coolest books of the past several years, but it's also run into financial difficulties. Now Night Shade is trying to sell out to two other entities, in a deal that authors and agents have criticized. We talked to the prospective buyers, and they explained their side of things.
