In response to the 2005 lawsuit, Google had reached a $125 million settlement with publishers that would give Google digital rights to the millions of books it has scanned as part of its Google Book Search project. But the U.S. Justice Department requested revisions, "to take into account the power Google could have over book prices as it amasses such a huge online library," according to the AP.
