Scholastic Media Announces Two-Part Holiday Episode of WordGirl

Scholastic Media, a division of global children's publishing giant Scholastic Inc., has announced a two-part holiday episode of its Emmy Award-winning PBS KIDS GO! series WordGirl, "A World Without WordGirl." The episode will play off of the Jimmy Stewart classic It's a Wonderful Life, wherein viewers will be forced to imagine a world sans the their favorite vocabulary super hero. In part one, when WordGirl's alter-ego, Becky, has her birthday party interrupted one time too many by citizens in need of WordGirl's assistance, she wishes for a world without WordGirl, and learns the meaning of the old saying, "be careful what you wish for."
