Springer Launches Network of Job Sites
As book publishers explore new ways to serve their audiences, and the lines between content providers (book publishers, magazine publishers, newspaper publishers, digital-only publishers, etc.) continue to blur, Springer—a global scientific publisher of books and journals—wets its feet in a pool typically used by magazine and newspaper publishers: job listings.
Springer has launched a network of job sites designed to attract and showcase the highly qualified audience that uses Springer tools, which are some of the industry's most trusted, prestigious and trafficked sites for research. Springer's sites attract 16 million unique visitors per month across a wide range of highly specialized scientific disciplines and medical specialities, according to the company.
At launch, more than 5,000 up-to-date job listings are available across the Springer network of job sites. The new effort aims to serve as a recruitment solution for leading global employers across the healthcare and life science industry.
The sites within the network include:
* http://www.scienceandhealthcarejobs.com
* http://www.stethoscopejobs.com
* http://www.labratjobs.com
In addition to reaching the targeted communities, employers can cross-post their job listings to all three sites to maximize the potential return on investment. Springer has partnered with Madgex and Amped Market Place (AMP) to power and maintain the sites. Madgex is providing the job board software, and AMP provides the sales staff, social media optimization and overall recruitment advice.
"The scientific, medical and healthcare communities already rely on Springer for research and connecting to others in their respective fields through various niche scientific social networking sites," said Ray Colón, Director of eProduct Management at Springer. "Our goal with these job sites is to complement our existing online offerings, by giving these scientific communities trusted destinations to post science and medical job openings specifically aimed at researchers and scientists that visit SpringerLink.com and other Springer platforms."
