Former HarperCollins Ireland publisher Conor Nagle has started up an eponymous literary agency based in Dublin, prioritising Irish-focused publishing. 

French book sales rose by a slight 1% in value in 2023 to nearly €4.3bn, according to Vincent Montagne, president of the French Publishers Association (Syndicat National de l’Edition).

The Works saw revenue growth of 3.1% in the 26 weeks to 29th October with total like-for-like sales up 1.6% “against a challenging backdrop and softened consumer demand”.
