Sony Announces 2 New E-readers and Lower E-book Prices

Sony has announced two new e-readers -- the "Reader Touch Edition," which will sell for less than $300 and the $199 "Reader Pocket Edition," its first pocket-sized device. Perhaps more importantly, Sony is lowering the price of its new releases and best-sellers to $9.99 to match Amazon. In addition, Sony e-book buyers will be able to share their titles across up to six different devices or computers.

Speculation continues that Sony will introduce a wireless e-reader to North America in time for the holiday selling season.
