HMH Rolls Out CliffsNotes Subscription Service for High School & College Students
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt continues to expand its digital products portfolio, which provides interactive, educational content directly to consumers. Book Business interviewed head of HMH consumer brands and strategy CJ Kettler in April to discuss the launch of the Curious World platform. The subscription service provides educational ebooks, videos, and games to children ages three to seven on mobile-friendly platform. Now a similar product has emerged for high school and college students. Like Curious World, the new subscription service builds on a well-known brand -- CliffsNotes -- and offers interactive learning.
On August 8, HMH announced the launch of the CliffsNotes digital platform, a subscription service that provides study guides to students. The digital guides are interactive, allowing users to quiz themselves on subjects like Algebra, Anatomy, and Physiology and prepare for the SAT. HMH created the solution in partnership with BenchPrep, a software as a service platform that creates personalized digital learning solutions.
