According to her LinkedIn profile, McIntosh left her post Publisher of Random House Audio Group in June 2008 to become Amazon.com's Director of Euriopean Kindle Content Acquisition. She returned to Random House in December 2009.
"Madeline has been, and continues to be, a vital part of the transformation of our organization as we redefine the way our sales and corporate operations support and collaborate with our publishing divisions," continued Dohle. "In recognition of her exceptional leadership and many accomplishments in core areas of our business, I am delighted to announce her appointment as Chief Operating Officer, Random House, Inc., effective immediately."
