Book:
Sourcebooks An independent publisher with a slew of New York Times bestsellers, Sourcebooks has made its mark on the publishing industry. Along with embracing digital publishing through its wide selection of ebooks, the company has created a number of apps such as "Put Me in the Story," which allows parents to personalize bestselling children's books by placing their own child in the story, and "Fiske Interactive College," which provides an interactive guide to colleges and universities with features like built-in school maps and critical application deadlines. Sourcebooks also created an online readers club, Discover a New Love, that gives members early access to new authors as well as discounts on new and bestselling romance ebooks. This readers club gives members access to monthly ebook selections from specific romance subgenres, helping members to discover and enjoy new books. In July of this year, Sourcebooks partnered with Xcite Books, the UK's largest publisher of erotic romance, bringing Xcite's award-winning erotic romance to the U.S. market. In August 2013, Sourcebooks acquired Simple Truths, a publisher of motivational books. The acquisition, the 15th and largest in Sourcebook's 26-year history, will expand the titles offered in the "Put Me in the Story" platform.
