According to Verso, 22.3 percent of avid buyers already own an e-reader, while 10.1 percent say that they are very likely to purchase one within the year.
However, 49.7 percent of avid book buyers, compared to just 2.1 percent of regular book buyers, allegedly shudder at the thought of a digital book. According to the study's authors Jack McKeown and Denise Berthiaume, avid buyers often report experiencing screen fatigue and view books as an escape from omnipresent LED screens.
