Community partners who have already begun distributing the books collected by Barnes & Noble booksellers include schools, libraries, and social service organizations. Local recipients include Charlotte Emergency Housing, the Capital Area United Way, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Birmingham, Hospice of Central Iowa, Children's Social Services of Wisconsin, Reading is the Way Up in California, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, Fresno Reads, Little Rock's Ronald McDonald House, Phoenix Children's Hospital, Spread the Word Nevada Kids to Kids, St. Mary's Hospital of New York, Children's Aid Society NY, Books for Kids Hudson Valley Chapter, and the Greater Toledo Literacy Council.
