The Association of Educational Publishers (AEP), a nonprofit organization that serves the industry of supplemental education publishing, has announced the launch of Go Global, a program designed for educational publishers to expand business through marketing and sales of intellectual-property rights internationally.
The program is an extension of a previous successful international partnership with Bologna Children’s Book Fair. This new venture expands international potential for its members to the world’s largest book fairs.
“A number of our AEP member companies have been selling international rights for some time, and the sale of those rights now contributes 5–15 percent directly to their bottom lines,” says CEO Charlene F. Gaynor. “These new programs offer our members a proven, turn-key opportunity to test the international waters with minimal investment.”
Go Global will be pushed and promoted at major AEP-related events. The AEP has assembled a fully outfitted exhibit space at the Educational Publishers Pavilion at the Frankfurt Book Fair, October 10–14.
The Beijing International Book Fair has also entered into a partnership with AEP and the American Collective Stand to offer the International Children’s Publishing Exhibit (ICPE) on Aug. 30-Sept. 3. The Beijing International Book Fair now boasts over 200,000 attendees.
