CIP4 Names Advisory Board and Board of Directors
The International Cooperation for the Integration of Processes in Prepress, Press and Postpress (CIP4) named its advisory board and board members at its annual meeting held at the Graph Expo and Converting Show, in Chicago.
The members of the board are charged with extending JDF to cover broader areas of interoperability, and provide improved education and communication for printers, prepress services and other users of JDF-enabled process automation solutions.
The new appointees are Martin Bailey, Global Graphics Software; Tim Daisy, Networked Graphic Production Partners; Stephan Jaeggi, PrePress Consulting; Pat McGrew, Pitney Bowes; Matthew Outram, Fujifilm Electronic Imaging; John Sweeney, Integrated Color Solutions Inc.; Jacques Thiebauld, Dalim Software; Henny van Esch, Optimus; David Watson, Ultimate Technographics Inc.; and Jürgen Schönhut, Fraunhofer IGD.
"With this year's release of many JDF-enabled products and services, the print communications industry is experiencing a new level of workflow integration," says Martin Bailey, CEO of CIP4. "During the coming months, CIP4 will continue to work on its interoperability goals including ICS (Interoperability Conformance Specifications) documents and the new ICS certification program (in coordination with GATF), and continuing to host 'CIP4 Interops' where developers can come together to test product pairings and pursue the development of open standards in an open, cooperative environment."
Joining CIP4 finance officer Marc van Vught of Screen and James E. Harvey, executive director, as members of CIP4's board of directors are Martin Bailey of Global Graphics Software (CEO), Margaret Motamed of EFI (marketing officer), and Christian Anschütz and Rainer Prosi of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (membership and technical officer, respectively).
